Seagull in HelsinkiPosted by Charles Thomson (Cheltenham, United Kingdom) on 29 June 2008 in Cityscape & Urban and Portfolio. This is another shot from my recent field trip to Finland. It was taken on the steps of the Lutheran Cathedral, a pretty famous landmark in Helsinki. The cathedral is surprisingly empty and un-ornate inside, all painted white and just a couple of statues and paintings. Completely different from the Catholic cathedral a stone's throw away which is extremely ornately decorated, plenty of gold and very colourful. Comments (and criticism if I'm in a good mood) are welcome and encouraged
