Helsinki

Happy Monday everyone.

This is a photo from a recent trip to Helsinki with my MSc course; we were there for a week. Things I learnt in Finland were:

1. Finns love gambling (there is roulette and blackjack in every nightclub)
2. Coming out of a restaurant at 10:30 at night when it is still really light outside is weird.
3. Coming out of a nightclub at 3:00 in the morning when the sun has already come up is even weirder
4. The hot blonde hair and blue eyed Scandinavian chick thing is a myth.
5. Finland is the same latitude as Alaska, and only an hour from St Petersburg
6. Out of 80 students and 5 members of staff, no-one had ever been to Finland before.
7. 1% of the population of Finland works for Nokia
